We completely emerge ourselves in reading and writing during our wonderful workshop times!  During this time, there is a vast amount of learning that is taking place.  We learn how to relate ourselves and our lives into the books and writings that we are doing daily.  We learn to not only read with feeling, but learn to feel and think like the characters in our stories.  We acquire the necessary skills to discuss the stories that we are reading and the small moments that we are writing in our classroom.  We are becoming more than just readers and writers in Second Grade.

We look forward to meeting with Sister Irenaeus in the Atrium as she prepares us for our long awaited First Communion.  Her passion and devotion to her faith makes us want to be more like her!
