Kindergarten
- Grade 3
Basic skill acquisition includes: developing locomotor
skills, hand-eye coordination, balance, kicking, catching,
and throwing.
Fitness development:
exercises and stretches are performed daily. We also
rely on the use of games and activities to help each
student improve their overall fitness.
Social development:
Consistent emphasis is placed on honesty, reponsibility,
respect, caring, and good sportsmanship.
Grade
4- Grade 8
Basic skill acquisition includes: all the above K-3
skills with emphasis on appropriate form and technique.
Fitness development:
Through the use of fitness testing and daily exercise,
emphasis is placed on the following: Cardiovascular
endurance, agility, strength, speed and flexibility.
(ie. walking club, The Presidents Physical Fitness Challenge
and Jump Rope for Heart)
Social Development:
Consistent emphasis is placed on honesty, responsibility,
respect, caring and good sportsmanship.
